Always ahead of the trend curve, SSDD already proudly features square corners.
Finally! A solution for creating square corners on your website. You’ve probably read countless tutorials on how to make rounded corners, but a simple, elegant solution for creating square corners has yet to emerge.
And with that we add the category of “Humor” to this blog. Funny stuff.

How To Name Your Company
1. It has to be one or two syllables long - no more
2. Each syllable starts with a strong consonant (B, C, D, G, K, P, Q, T)
3. It’s fun to say (”…that just rolls off the tongue”)
I’m a bit chagrined that SSDD Web Design meets none of these, although I didn’t really have any other ideas at the time. I’m horrible when coming up with things for myself. It’s like a mental block. But I do like the concept behind the name, so I’ll stick with it for now.

A design aesthetic I aspire to: Super Clean
This is perhaps one of the most ambiguous and subjective categories described on Design Melt Down yet. The heart of what I mean by Super Clean is that visually speaking the entire feel of the site is super clean. To me this is somewhat of an ideal or ultimate design. Basically the sites selected for this category feel as though they are clutter free, have plenty of breathing room, have an easy to understand and clear hierarchy, and overall feel really balanced and easy to consume.
I’ve never been very good at cluttered design. When a client wants me to cram a bunch of stuff on a page, I chafe. I much rather prefer to keep it clean and, as the kids say, “Keep it real.”

3 Ways to Immediately Increase Search Engine Traffic
Avoid the Snake Oil Merchants
There are still die hard SEO’s out there that spend all their time trying to game the system, but most of them are pretty shit at it, only a very few have enough resources to manage it. There are also, a whole slew of con merchants masquerading as SEO’s, just as there are fake designers in the web design field, basing their credentials on the fact that they’ve read a few articles, or bought a keyword tracking tool.
These people are idiots, and should be avoided at all costs.
