I’m tidying up around hear a little and refining the design a bit. Most noticeable are a softening up a couple blocks of color with subtle gradients and graphic buttons for the navigation. I’m sure this design will never be truly finished. Unlike a client site I can afford to keep tweaking the theme.

Garrett Dimon / Understanding Behavior
If I didn’t even know or understand myself well enough to know that throwing products at the problem wouldn’t fix it, how can I expect clients/customers to be that self-aware as to be able to communicate their true needs. It’s up to us to observe, understand, and interpret their needs. Asking their opinion should serve as validation of their needs, not creation of those needs.

Jonathan’s Web site is gorgeous. The color scheme makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside (in stark contrast to my own site - but I’m not exactly warm and fuzzy). I especially like the clean simple lines of his blog layout.

DOMTool: “To use DOMTool simply paste an HTML snippet into the input field, press ‘Create DOM Statements’ and voila, there you have the DOM sequence to create that content.”
Very handy.
