If I ever get around to designing a site for myself again I’d certainly like to try using this PNG Headers technique. (Also, the site that inspired the tutorial.)

I still don’t understand all the hubbub around rounded corners, but if you must have them, try this out: CSS Rounded Box Generator. The corner images could use some massaging - there’s a little bit of a point on each one.
