I’ve finally decided to shed the business name of SSDD Web Design. Partially because it pidgeon-holes me in one area when I do so much more than that for my clients. I analyze their business, determine their needs and formulate a plan of attack. Web design is part of the picture, of course, but so is social media consulting, blog coaching, software installations and maintenance, training, etc.

Of course there is also the negative connotation of SSDD. For me it meant Strategy, Solutions, Design and Development. But to so many more it means “Same shit, different day.” Of course it’s a joke and a double entendre, but I realize it could be off-putting to some and no longer will it remain a roadblock.

So taking only the second S in SSDD, mine, not the joke version, I am rebranding my freelance work as John Bedard Web Solutions. Part of my planned redesign for this site will include moving the domain to the new URL.
